Royal Liver Building The Royal Liver Building is one of the most recogniseable parts of Liverpool's skyline. It stands on the banks of the River Mersey and is notable for it's two clock towers with faces larger than that of Big Ben in London. On the top of these towers stand two mythical Liver birds, one looking to the sea to ensure the safety of sailors and one watching over the city. The building is the headquarters of the Royal Liver Friendly Society, a large financial company. Address: Pier Head Liverpool MSY England
